Rodger and I have enjoyed keeping up with what you are doing through your blog. We will continue to pray for you as you live out the gospel in a hard place. Our hearts are broken when we read about the church in the Congo and the continuing struggles the people face. Our pastor once chastised our congregation for not praying often enough for the coming of Christ, and I was struck by that thought and realized that he might be right. We are comfortable, life is good so we don’t necessarily want Jesus to come, but in places like the DRC, Christ’s coming may be the only thing that can alleviate the suffering of the people.
Take care and if you ever feel God is calling you to look at the graduate programs at Eastern, give us call, we’d love to have you stay with us. Eastern is about 45 minutes from where we live.
